Micah
Micah prophesies both judgment and hope, addressing the corruption of leaders, injustice toward the poor, and the false security of religious rituals. Yet within his denunciation lies the famous messianic prophecy: “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah... out of you shall come forth... one to be ruler in Israel” (Micah 5:2), fulfilled in the birth of Jesus. Micah also calls for true worship: “What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8). The book is a balanced blend of moral clarity and redemptive promise.
